In my post-doctoral research, I worked on the project “Optical Glass Amplifiers
for High-Capacity Networks” which is funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering
Research Council of Canada (NSERC) through a Collaborative Research and
Development Grants program. My research is concerned with the design of optical fiber amplifiers and tests on high-speed transmission testbeds. I focused on simulations and experimental works which are involving design-characterization of Extended LBand EDFA.
During my 14-months period, I worked on several subjects that are mentioned
below.
• Gain Improving at L-Band EDFA by using C-Band suppressing with FBG
• Effect of saturation tone on the Extended L-Band EDFA performance
• Characterizing of Extended L-Band EDFA with new design of EDF
• Characterizing of Bismuth Doped Fiber Amplifier (BDFA)
